Round and bubble free is the goal.
It has been a while since I made any fused glass bowls and now I remember why. It's not easy to get a piece of glass to fuse when it is over 15 inches and keep it round and bubble free. Here are 2 that worked and are in the kiln now to be slumped into bowls. Every step is a maybe. I'll fallow with a picture of the finished product after they come out of the kiln.

She thought she couldn't do it but this is proof.
The last glass painting class has been completed. In it were students of different skills. This picture is the project of a student, Linda. It was her 3rd class and she learned how to apply come color. She used the same basic design and tried 2 different techniques to get 2 very different results. She has since framed them and the are painted stained glass hanging in her window.
Great Job Linda!

Indigenous people hold consciousness
Wow! I just got an email that said that the stained glass art piece called Holding the Light will be on the cover of Discernment Times published the end of Dec. Thank you very much powers that Be.
Holding the Light is the Stained glass panel on the top far left. I did it to honer the way the indigenous people have held the knowing that were are connected and one, the healing consciousness that is so needed at this time.
The piece is painted and some of the pieces have been fired in the kiln 6 times. This stained glass panel can be hung in a window or installed as a window. It is leaded stained glass and painted on mouth blown German glass.

New opportunity to reclaim a vanishing art.
It is class time again and it's exciting. See my add in Glass Art Magazine. I'm so fortunate to have been able to express in glass with painting. Now I have the opportunity to give back. Have a look at some of the new glass painters. I'll have more classes in the spring. Let you know when I know more.
You too can add to your glass art with this seldom taught facet of glass art with glass painting that can be used in stained glass, fused glass or how ever you choose.

Arch Angel Michel starting to take form
Hi all this week had been one of getting ready for class a lot of work but a lot of fun.
I'm finally getting back to Arch Angle Michel. He is painted in the traditional style of glass painting and silver stained.
He will be laminated to the piece of blue baroque that you see him on and some silver stain will be added to that baroque glass. More red will be laminated to his flame. He will be ready as a piece of stained glass ready to hang in a window in about a week. He will make a good companion piece for Quan Yin, don't you think.
